Kaizen Dojo is an after school program operated by Kaizen Karate. We are located at 9545 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910 (near the beltway exits). Students will take part in daily karate lessons, snack time, homework time, and more! We provide service throughout the entire 2024-2025 school year. Please note, we follow the MCPS calendar. Service will be provided on 1/2 days.

Homework Time
Students will have time to work on their homework assignments from school when they get back to Kaizen Dojo.
Snack Time
Snacks are provided as part of the Kaizen Dojo program. Please be sure to let our office team know about any allergies via email.
Karate Instruction
After homework time ends, students will participate in daily karate lessons! Karate instruction is geared towards the students age and current belt rank.

Van Service - van service is now available from Sligo Creek ES, East Silver Spring ES, & Woodlin. We pick up students directly at each site and bring them back to the dojo. Parents must pick up directly from Kaizen Dojo.
The pick up location for our fourth school is TBA and will be selected based on demand. We are planning to expand van service to 6 total schools by January 2025.

Part-time service (4 days per week) - $410 per month

Part-time service (1 day per week) - $110 per month
*Drop-in service - $30 per day - if this service is needed, we request an email at least 24hrs in advance when possible or call our office directly.

The goal of our program is to create an environment where children and staff feel safe, protected, and respected. The following rules will be followed: follow all rules of set forth by Kaizen Karate, follow directions given by staff, respect the rights, privacy, personal space and possessions of others; stay in assigned areas under the supervision of our Kaizen Karate staff; show respect for all property and equipment; use appropriate language; use the restrooms appropriately; no sharing or throwing food; clean up space after eating snack and throw away trash; do not throw rocks or other harmful objects; no fighting or bullying. Repeated violation of the rules may result in a child being suspended or no longer allowed to participate in the program. Behavior that endangers the health and / or safety of any child or adult may result in immediate suspension and / or termination from the participation in the program.
